ADSL

For the smaller company and home workers, ADSL can be an ideal broadband link, with greater downstream bandwidth than upstream capacity.

XKomms’ broadband is clear - no hood winking clauses, conditions or restrictions, no degradation of quality. Ours is always in the top quartile of DSL quality whichever parameter is being measured.

Features

• XKomms has various bandwidth speeds up to 8 Mega b/s, with 50:1 and 20:1 contention ratios.

• To increase the upstream bandwidth, we can provide bonded ADSL links, as well as increase the downstream speed eg from 2Mb/s to 6Mb/s for example by the same technique.

• There are no restrictions in download data quantity.

• We provide IP & Data stream quality.

• Our routers provided have a built in firewall and ADSL modem, with ability to be Wired and/or Wireless, and carry a lifetime guarantee .

• Users can still use a phone and/or fax when surfing.

Multi-site Connections using ADSL

• XKomms can create a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using ADSL but not connecting them to the Internet.

• This is useful for example, with a head office and home-workers or satellite offices.

• To achieve this we use L2TP - or Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol.

Quality of Service (QoS)

For certain applications, maintaining QoS is essential, such as VoIP (Voice over IP).

To do this means maintaining control of all links in the chain, and by use of a fibre backbone owned and operated by an Xkomms partner, we can ensure QoS.

(Our carefully selected and vetted partners own and operate their own MPLS networks, and own or have reserved portage on UK-wide DSLAMS).

Grant aided packages

Dependant on the size, location and type of organisation, some clients are able to obtain part grant aid for their broadband & VPN links. (Ask for further details).

SDSL

• XKomms symmetric broadband links have contention ratios as low as 1:1, and typically are 1,2,4,6,8,12 M in bandwidth.

• SDSL is mostly provided over a BT PSTN analogue exchange line.

Leased Lines/ Private Circuits

• Typical bandwidths of 64kb, 128, 256, 1M and 2Mb/s

• Contracts are a minimum of 12 months

• Tier 1 carrier grade solutions
